President's Report:  In many ways this month was different. I attended the monthly Maleny Showground Users Committee Meeting. It was suggested that the fence to be located along the top of the wall of our retaining drain, could be constructed of white reflective posts, placed at strategic intervals along this wall. This is, perhaps, a less expensive option and would meet our requirements. The Maleny District Sports and Recreation Club Awards Evening was well attended. The Maleny Arts and Crafts Group (MACG) was represented by Anita Turner, Claire Blowes and myself. Anita was nominated for an award in relation to her outstanding contribution to MACG, in particular, as President over the last three years. 40th Birthday Celebrations Happy Birthday to us! This year Maleny Arts and Crafts Group are celebrating their 40th Birthday.  Last night members enjoyed an evening catching up over wine and canapes surrounded by their own work on exhibition for their 2017 May Fair running over April 28, 29, 30 and May 1.  Members enjoying catching up amongst amazing work.  Member for Glasshouse, Andrew Powell, speaking at the celebrations.  Some of the items that are for sale Life members, from left to right, Beverley Heading, Pamela Doyle and Lorraine Bevege cutting the MACG Birthday Cake. 2017 May Fair: Friday - Monday: April 28, 29, 30 & May 1.
